Hello Games has made its plans for travel by water in Light No Fire more specific. In the Voyagers post of 27 August 2025, the studio names large boats and crews for the oceans of its Earth-sized fantasy world. Although the post concerns No Man’s Sky, this part explicitly refers to Light No Fire.

A Shared Journey Needs More Than a Moving Boat

Voyagers introduces large NMS spaceships with walkable interiors. Hello Games uses them to explain a technical challenge: players act within a space while that space is itself moving and its surroundings are procedurally generated. The team says much of this technology is shared with Light No Fire.

A boat crew makes the relationship easy to understand. A person moves relative to the deck, while the vessel moves relative to the sea. Travellers still need to experience the same situation together. That explains the technical challenge; it does not describe announced crew roles in LNF.

Oceans Add to the Existing Travel Concept

The official press kit already placed travel by water alongside climbing, riding and dragon flight. Voyagers adds the scale of the boats and the idea of travelling as a crew. Sailing consequently becomes a more concrete example of a shared activity.

The travel overview compares the different ways to move, while the exploration reference gathers the lasting details. The post does not specify crew size, controls, boat construction or naval combat. It cannot yet support instructions for building a ship.

What Still Belongs to No Man’s Sky

Voyagers’ Corvettes are NMS spaceships. Their interiors and equipment belong to that update. Shared technology does not turn those features into announced LNF building components.

This continues the development connection that Hello Games explained in Worlds Part I and II.
